TEAM PLACEMENT AND NOTIFICATION PROCESS

Parents,
Thank you for allowing your son/daughter to tryout with Mint Hill Soccer for the 2018-2019 season. Below please find a team placement and notification process. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at [email protected].

Tryout/Evaluation session will last up to two hours. Our staff will evaluate each player in both the technical and tactical aspects of the game.

ATTENDANCE:
Each player MUST attend one session to be considered for placement.  It is recommended each player attend all scheduled sessions for their age group.

SELECTION PROCESS:
Our staff will place every player for the upcoming year based on the number of players available and their ability level. At the conclusion of the second tryout, the staff will compare and contrast each player's abilities in each age group in order to offer the player/parents a spot on the team. Each player will then be selected for a team in accordance to their skill level. Team placement will be made by Mint Hill Soccer staff following the second tryout session.

NOTIFICATION PROCESS
After evaluation is conducted, our DOC will notify the player via e-mail. The e-mail will include the division and coach of the team they are being offered a spot on. Players have 24 hours to accept or decline the offered spot. An email response is requested and preferred. If no response is received within 24 hours, that player is moved to the "waiting list" and the doc may then select another player from the pool of available players.

ACCEPTANCE INTO A TEAM:
Acceptance to a team confirms a player's commitment to that team for 2018/19 Soccer year, both the Fall 2018 and Spring 2019 sessions. Acceptance into a team also will depend on the online registration and payment of commitment fee. MHS will notify all players via e-mail if they are not selected for a team no later than five days after the team selection meeting.

At the conclusion of tryouts, all placements are final upon acceptance of invitations. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, exceptions can be made for altering such payments at the discretion of our staff in conjunction with all coaches that may be affected by the exception. When necessary, additional tryouts may be scheduled to ensure fair assessment of any players impacted by changing rosters.

REGISTRATION NIGHT:
Registration night will be held on May 31st, 2018 at the Brief Road fields, 9700 Brief Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227 between 6:00-7:30 p.m. Paperwork, commitment fee and birth certificates will be collected. We will also size players for uniforms.

TEAM COMMUNICATION:
After your son/daughter has been placed on a team and commitment fee  has been received, your team manger or coach will contact you. Team mangers and coaches work closely to keep you in communication about upcoming events, registration night, uniform selection and team schedule.
